When comparing last years drive to Austin, to those in previous years. We believe taking "mini" trips within the trip broke up the time and made the 20+ hours to seem not quite so long.
Knowing that S.M-A lived in Louisville, we called around 1:00 and left a message saying we'be be driving through town arpund 5:30, and would she like to meet for coffee? We made much better time than expected and got to Louisbville over an hour ahead of schedule.
Around 4:15 P.M., a thunderstorm erupted and slowed our AVG speed down (from 80 MPH) to something like 55 MPH. It was 4:30 and we had just merged on I-65 to head south to Nashville when she called and said she could meet. WE doubled back and after a few mis-fires on directions, we finally got together. I think it was between 6:00- 6:30 when we said our goodbyes and started back down the highway. We have some fun stories to share and also filled in SM-A on what GOOD 'rents Mike & Chaim are.
