I thought I might share with everyone an email I got about a year ago...





At the request of young James, I am sending ingredients and instructions on your Moms' famous antipasto salad.
I've copied the ladies on the off chance they have their significant others put it together and THEY need instructions. :-)
Christmas Eve Antipasto salad
Required Ingredients (amount determined by number of people being served)
Good Season Italian Dressing mixRed Wine VinegarGreen Olives (thinly sliced)Lettuce (tear by hand)Sandwich Pepperoni (cut into strips)Provolone cheese (cut into strips)Bavarian ham (cut into strips)pepperoncinis

Mix dressing as per instructions and let sit at room temperature (make in the am of day being served) without yet adding the oil.
Aprox 30 mins before serving, assemble desired ingredients
Add oil to dressing mixture
Shake vigorously
Pour over salad, gently toss, and set to marinade for 20 mins before serving.
