Whoops!

In a deliberate effort to substantiate the blog as a legitamate communication vehicle, I offer the following ground breaking news from Texas:

I was in a wreck today (before I continue, everyone involved is fine)! I pulled up behind a Toyota 4Runner stopped at a green light. We were on a six lane road, three each way, in the middle lane. Left lane turn, middle and right lanes go straight. Stopped at a green light is odd of course, and the thought of ringing my horn surfaced, though I did not. As I am thinking this, my car jerked forward and I found myself propelled into the car in front of me. This is disconcerting experience when you are not the one controlling the car's movement. I looked in my rear view mirror and I see a young lady in a white Toyota Corolla staring at me with a horrified look on her face. We're in the middle of a major intersection, so we drive up a bit and pull into a parking lot. My car computer is going nuts telling me to turn the car off, check my coolant, all sorts of messages. I was busy trying to calm my shaking and not get in another wreck before we pulled over, so I'm not sure what all it was saying. I get out and check to make sure everyone is ok. Audrey, the driver of the Corolla is solo like me, Chad in the 4Runner was with a female companion on the way to a Christmas party. Everyone is fine, I call the police. A nice motorcycle officer arrived about an hour later to take everyone's statement and cited Audrey. The hood of my car was stuck down, and something was leaking (loudly with a hissing sound - my radiator?) so I had it towed. I had myself checked out at a clinic, I have some standard whiplash and my knee is banged up from hitting the dash when I was thrown forward. I'm sorry I have no multimedia of the indicent, no pictures or videos... but of course the best news is that everyone is ok. I'll keep everyone updated on the status on this site!
